September Sunsets

The month of September brings wonderful sunsets to Crosby beach.
The air is clean, washed by wind and rain,
Clouds move swiftly, reflecting the light
Of the setting sun, every shade from crimson to peach.

Sculptural Beauty of Snow

Snow clings to the trees

Beech Trees in the snow

Snow has fallen.
Tall and statuesque,
The beeches,
Outlined in white
Etched against the landscape.

Favourite Beech Trees

Experimenting with the new Tinto Lens
my favourite beech trees
in the local park glow
green in the low winter sun.

Low sun, long shadows

I love the way the low sun
sends shadows racing across the grass.
Winter mists define the light.

Wild flowers bloom

Heavy rain and bursts of hot sunshine
the wildflowers of Victoria Park
luxuriate in the damp warm air
blooming forth to make their mark
on this small patch of England.

Wildflowers, Victoria Park

The beautiful wild flower field at our local Victoria park in full bloom, fresh after recent rain and now full of colour under a warm June sun.
